Heavy Hitter. With 29” wheels and 155/160mm of travel our Carbine 29 is very much the epitome of a big wheeled long travel Enduro bike. With great handling characteristics the Carbine loves high speeds and is right at home on endless gnarly challenging trails, laps in the bike park or Enduro race stages. Just point and go. Lively And Playful With Big-hit Capabilities. For a long travel, big wheeled bike the Carbine is super responsive, and with its modern long and slack geometry it’s aggressive but balanced, giving the Carbine great stability and confidence, but also the maneuverability needed on tight and twisty trails. The carbon frame is composed, poised and light in weight, giving great all-out speed and keeping a lively playful feel. The Carbine will allow you to pick and choose your lines, it’s nimble and controllable even on the steepest descents. Perfect Enduro Performance. The Carbine has competed at the highest level and has a pure race pedigree. In 2019 Intense team rider Isabeau Courdurier piloted her Carbine to overall victory at the Enduro World Series (EWS). Not only that, but she also won every single round on the way. Climb With Ease. At home on rough and challenging trails the Carbine can also climb any technical or longer drawn-out ascents with ease. The climbing position on the bike is perfect and when things get technical the suspension remains active all the time to provide excellent traction and great pedalling efficiency. The Carbine is it is fast everywhere. The JS Tuned Enduro Link. We talk a lot about JS Tuned here at Intense. JS stands for Jeff Steber (our founder and CEO) and simply put it is a system that focuses on all of the individual parts that make up one of our bikes: from suspension, geometry, wheel size, materials and component spec. The key element of JS Tuned is our suspension system that uses two counter-rotating links to connect the front and rear triangles of the bike. The links are specifically placed to allow for separation between the pedaling and braking forces from the suspension performance. Every model in our range has its own personal and specific JS tune.
