Description

The DECOY Base 29 is an efficient All-Mountain bike, great for having fun on any hillside and racking up the kilometers on bigger adventures. The carbon main frame and aluminum V4L rear triangle work in unison with the fast-rolling 29-inch wheels to provide excellent drive, while the 150 mm of front travel and 145 mm of rear travel ensure that you always have enough reserves to deal with demanding terrain. With the Shimano STEPS E8000 motor you are well equipped to deal with longer rides, and thanks to the 540 Wh battery you can even squeeze out an extra lap. The RockShox Yari RC is built on the same robust chassis as the Lyrik, only here it is equipped with the proven Motion-Control damper instead. The fork offers 150 mm of travel and together with the RockShox Deluxe Select shock it provides all the sure-footedness you need for demanding enduro riding. The 12-speed Shimano SLX tranmission features a wide range cassette to ensure you can always find the right gear. The SRAM Code R brakes slow you down reliably when you need it, while the DT Swiss wheels, the MAXXIS Minon DHR II tires and the YT Postman dropper post round out the DECOY Base 29 build with panache. The geometry of the DECOY 29 has been specifically designed for All-Mountain riding. Compared to the DECOY 29/27, the head angle and seat tube angle are steeper, which shifts your center of gravity further forward. The chain stays are slightly longer than on the mullet bike, which adds more pressure on the front wheel. For better drive, we’ve also made the rear suspension layout even more independent of pedaling forces, so that you can relax a bit more on the way back up the mountain. The big 29-inch wheels roll over obstacles with ease and provide for great stability even at high speed. The Flip Chip lets you adjust the geometry by making the head angle and seat tube angle 0.5 degrees steeper and raising the BB by 7 mm.
