Developed in collaboration with the world's fastest athletes, the brand was renowned at its inception for boosting the popularity of BMX bicycles, developing a range of bikes around its "triple triangle" design, and winning a contract to manufacture a $30,000 carbon fiber Superbike for the 1996 Summer games.
GT sponsored numerous race teams and individuals, including notable riders; Rebecca Twigg and Juli Furtado.
BRAND FEATURES/CATEGORY
A GT bike is often a great choice for that first foray into cycling whether it be off-road with an MTB hardtail like the Aggressor or on cycle tracks with the Transeo. Commuters and recreational cyclists will appreciate the comfort and capabilities that a GT hybrid bike offers.
The GT's "triple triangle" hard-tail frame design, often uses a frame design where the bike's top tube extends rearward past the seat tube, as this reduces the vibration transferred to the seat from the rear wheel.
Built for function as well as speed, GT still makes some of the best BMX bikes on the planet, thier bikes are great for recreational cycling as well as racing.
