Checker Pig was founded over 3 decades ago in 1989, making it the oldest German mountain bike manufacturer. Initially known for the production of traditional bikes and snowboards, the brand soon shifted its attention to the production of high-quality MTBs. 

Checker Pig has always been prominent in racing competition from the onset. The "Grinning Pig" as their bikes are fondly called is a beast in the bike scene. Both on and off the track. Michael Hübner and Jens Fiedler both became World champions and Olympic champions respectively on Checker Pig bikes. The insights and experience from these highly demanding competitions aided the expansion of their product line.
