A product's Brand is an identifying mark that defines the manufacturer of that particular product.

The Model Year value corresponds the reference year when a specific product has been put on sale on the market. Note that bicycle manufacturers use to present the models that you will find on sale in the next year in the period July-December ot the current year. You will also hear speaking about "Catalogs" and this is pretty much the same as "Model Year". This expression comes from the past, when pretty much every manufacturer was printing paper catalogs where they used to collect all the available bicycle models for a specific year. So, in the current language you will still hear speaking about "Bike XYZ from the Catalog 2021", as well as "Bike XYZ Model Year 2021".

Bicycles can be categorized in infinite ways. Every online shop and Brand's website uses a different categorization. At EurekaBike we have been monitoring the bicycles' and eBikes' market for years and, after an in-depth study, we decided to create e category system which is the most rational possible, and that we would like to propose as a reference for the sector. Probably that is not the best for everyone's needs, but the familiarity everyone has with Categories is also a matter of habits. Through EurekaBike category system we are able to collect tenths of thousands of bicycles in a quick and unique way: each and every bicycle model is associated to one and one only Category and, for this, you will never find overlapping cases. After years of testing, we believe that this system is the best way to collect potentially all the bicycles existing in the World, in a way that everyone, from the more expert to the rookie, will be able to easily find them.
