Description

For the Epic Hardtail Comp Carbon World Cup, we took a revolutionary new frame design and spec'd it specifically for the rigors of racing at the highest level. It's one of the lightest frames we've ever made, tipping the scales around 1175g. And to do so, we built the entyre frame from our superlative carbon fibre, FACT 10m, and then we took some cues from our road bikes. We borrowed the Rider-First Engineered™ concept that originated with the Tarmac. Now, the frame design applies specificity to every tube size and carbon layup for every frame size. This creates the optimal balance of rigidity, weight, and responsiveness, so every frame, regardless of size, performs just as we intended. We've also tweaked the geometry for more speed and stability by slacking-out the head tube angle, lengthening the top tube, and correcting the seat tube angle. This way, it feels more planted then ever, and frankly, it's stupid fast. We also widened the rear spacing to 12x148mm and included internal split-housing cable routing. For the build, this Epic hits right on the money, opting for a custom-tuned RockShox Reba RL fork, one-by, 11-speed SRAM shifting, and fast rolling Roval Control wheels.By pairing a FACT 10m carbon fibre frame with our XC 29 Geometry, this Epic places a focus on tight tube angles and extremely light overall weight for explosive speed and nimble handling on the race circuit. For good measure, we also gave it 148mm rear spacing and all-new triangulated post-mount brake mounts.A custom RockShox Reba RL 29 fork offers up 90/100mm of smooth travel, while an easily accessible compression and rebound adjusts permit you to customize the feel according to the terrain at hand.1x, 11-speed shifting is provided by a durable mix of SRAM GX and NX components.

Size

If you are on a listing page, in this field you will find all the available sizes for that specific product. If you are instead on an ad page, this field reports the Size of the spedific product that is for sale.

The Size is one of the most important information for choosing the best fitting product to your body. Wehtere it is a bicycle or gear. Speaking about bike clothing and shoes, sizes follow the international size charts, but when it comes to bicycles and frames it is not possible to define a standard. Bicycles and frames come in many different shapes and geometries and this results in several sizing methods. As a general rule, though, you can assume that road bicycles are sized by the lenght the seat tube in centimeters (52, 54, 56, ...) and mountain bikes are instead sized by the S,M,L, ... rule. Our advice, is to look carefully at the sizing chart you can find in our product pages, but to be sure you are choosing the best fit for you, always refer to your trusted dealer or shop, because he is the one who is the one who can assist you at best for this purpose.

Eureka SKU

The Eureka SKU is a universal product code (UPC) that univocally defines a specific product in the bicycles' market.

Sharing the Eureka SKU of a listing bicycle, for example, means to indicate a very well-defined combination of Brand, Model, Mounting, and Model Year parameters that define a single bike model and no one else. The Eureka SKU of an Ad product, instead, is built from other information that guarantees it is still unique compared to all present, past, and future products managed by EurekaBike.

Manufacturer Code

The Manufacturer Code is a unique code that defines a particular Model from the side of the producer or brand. Often, this code can be found in manufacturers' catalogs or websites, but due to producers not adopting always the same standards, when the Manufacturer Code is not available, at EurekaBike we give the product an internally created Manufacturer Code based on the defining parameters of the product itself.
